Jose Mourinho Agrees to Take Man City Job

Spanish source El Mundo Deportivo have stated today that Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho will leave the Bernabeu and take over at the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Not only do they proclaim this to be a ‘done deal’ they also go as far as to state that the date for the switch will be June 30th, which is a very exact prediction.

Such a move would be something of a shock, not least as Roberto Mancini is of course still in place at Man City and shows no sign of being axed. However if the Italian fails to secure the Premier League this season then perhaps he will be sacked though such a move could be considered harsh even though the club’s owners have shelled out a huge sum assembling a squad that they may feel should be able to secure major honours.

Jose Mourinho has come under fire from some sections of the Real Madrid fanbase over his behaviour and indeed the Portuguese manager has also reportedly seen his relationship with club officials and players deteriorate in recent months, though such reports have been dismissed as mere speculation and clearly any suggestion of a breakdown in relationship between the boss and his players has not prevented his side from marching towards major triumphs.

Real Madrid are well placed to reach the Champions League semi-finals having defeated Cypriot side Apoel Nicosia 3-0 in the away leg of their Quarter Final and despite a shaky few weeks of domestic action Los Blancos are still six points clear at the top of La Liga.

Liverpool Plot to Sign Emmanuel Adebayor

Liverpool are reportedly looking to make a bid on Emmanuel Adebayor next summer as Kenny Dalglish looks to add his attacking field.

Since Tottenham appear reticent about meeting Adebayor’s wage demands and could be ready to pull out of any move to make their temporary move for the forward a permanent one.

The 28 year old former Arsenal man, Adebayor, had a decent first season at Man City following his £25m move from North London but the arrival of Mancini appeared to curtail the striker’s career at the club and last term he was loaned out to Real Madrid where he was a fairly effective attacking weapon when Jose Mourinho called upon his services.

Adebayor has impressed at White Hart Lane this season not just with his goal-scoring prowess but his ability to provide for his team-mates. The Man City man has netted 11 and assisted another 11 goals in 26 Premier League appearances thus far this term.

Muamba posts picture on Twitter

The picture, which shows Muamba smiling in his hospital bed, was posted on the 23-year-old's behalf on his page on the social networking site.

The accompanying message read: "Fab wanted me to post this pic for you all and to also say thank you for such overwhelming support."

Ronaldo back to the Premier League with £80 million bid?

Manchester City ready to launch sensational bid to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid this summer
Abu Dhabi powerbrokers willing to match £80 million world-record transfer fee and sanction salary of between £400,000-a-week and £500,000-a-week to land Portuguese icon

Manchester City are ready to deliver a sensational package to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid this summer, Goal.com can reveal.

Sources in both Manchester and Spain have told Goal.com that there has been contact between intermediaries in recent weeks to gauge the player’s interest in returning to Manchester and the early indications from the 27-year-old’s camp is that he could be open to a transfer that would send shockwaves through football.

Online Gambling In Malaysia

Online Gambling has been a big business in Malaysia, despite the fact that it hosts a land-based Casino in the capital city. There are several reasons for this:

- Online Gambling offers not only Casino games, but also Sports Betting, Lottery, Poker and other gambling games.
- Payment has been made so easy and convenient, members can deposit and withdraw through Maybank, Public Bank and Hong Leong Bank.
- Betting online means that you can play anytime you what, as long as you have Internet Line and Computer (which is very common nowadays).
- You can bet on your mobile, so it's entertainment on the go.

So is it legitimate to gamble online in Malaysia? The question is neither Yes or No, I'd say it's grey area. Licensed betting website is allowed to offer betting products across the webs, meaning virtually no border, unless the government of the country decides to block that websites. So in fairness, your decision to join such website is your own, but the risk is virtually none. The online gambling has been there for ages, but no problems so far. I'd say it's safer compared to going to Kiosk or Internet cafes to bet like many Malaysians still do, because it's actually operated on Malaysian soil.

Another way to make your mind at ease with betting online is that choose a really good and reputable website. My suggestion to you, after years of experiences, is M88, a online betting website belongs to Group Mansion, which is located in Europe. Casino.com, a very big name in online world, actually belongs to this group. M88 is regulated and licensed by First Cagayan, Philippines and located in Makati City. This website offers welcome bonus up to USD200 for new member, along with various promotions for Malaysian members. They have 24/7 support in English, Chinese and other 5 languages, together with local payment through Maybank, Hong Leong Bank and Public Bank.

If you know Tottenham Hotspur, then you probably know Mansion, because they did Jersey sponsorship with the club, if I'm not mistaken, 2007-2010. Right after that, M88 becomes official betting partner with Manchester City FC. They did sponsorship with various events of ESPN Star, namely Tiger Street Football in Kuala Lumpur, Formula Drift Malaysia 2011, Guiness Nine Ball Tour and etc.

So you know that they are big, they have names in the market, and good relationship with various media brands. So it's better to choose this kind of website rather than a website that you have no information of and risk losing your hard-earned money. Do not be misled because some websites offer you a lot of bonuses, but will not payout when you win. So choose carefully.

Jose can succeed Fergie?

Manchester United legend Bryan Robson believes that Jose Mourinho has the right qualities to be able to pull of the "near impossible" job of taking over Sir Alex Ferguson.

Ferguson has spent 25 years with the club and achieved tremendous success, and is showing little sign of slowing down. Robson, therefore, doubts that the club is thinking about the identity of its next manager. However, the day will come when Fergie has to step down, and when the issue has to be dealt with, he's confident that Mourinho is the right candidate.

Speaking at the Soccerex forum in Manchester, the legend said: "As far as I'm concerned, and from what I know about Manchester United, they are not considering at the moment.

Jose Mourinho Sir Alex Ferguson"How do you replace Sir Alex Ferguson? It is near impossible. But they are going to have to do that and Mourinho is definitely one would be up at the top of list. His record speaks for itself."

Robson has been impressed with the work of Ferguson's assistants Mike Phelan and Rene Meulensteen and thought that they are good options too.

He said: "Whoever goes in there they will have their opinions and ideas, but because of the success United have  had over the last 20 years, you can't go in and rip everything apart and try to rebuild the way you think it should be.

"How can you do that after so much success? Why not Mike Phelan and Rene take over from Sir Alex Ferguson when he does decide to pack in."

Why Champions League Final El Clasico?

At least on Real Madrid's end, the opposition to a run to the Champions League final is not nearly as difficult as it could be.

They were the luckiest team of the draw for the last eight; a dominating Madrid side roundly thrashed minnows APOEL in Cyprus to a score of 3-0.

If and when Los Blancos advance, they face either a heavily slumping Marseille or Bayern Munich in the semifinals. Both are very beatable.

While Barcelona have a tougher task ahead of them in AC Milan, they definitely have the ability to take down Benfica or a Chelsea side that have slipped out of England's top four.

A Student jailed over Muamba Twitter rant

A UK college student was jailed Tuesday after posting offensive comments on Twitter following the collapse of Bolton soccer star Fabrice Muamba.

Liam Stacey, 21, was sentenced to 56 days in prison after he admitted a racially aggravated public order offense at Swansea Magistrates' Court.

The biology student, from Pontypridd, South Wales, made the offensive tweet after EPL player Muamba collapsed and stopped breathing on the field late in the first half of Bolton's televised FA Cup quarter-final clash with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Mar. 17.

He wrote, "LOL. F*** Muamba. He's dead!!! #haha."

When other Twitter users reacted angrily to the tweet, Stacey went on to post further abusive messages, including racist posts directed to black users.

He later claimed his Twitter account had been hacked and he had not used his cell phone at the time the abusive comments were sent.

Muamba, 23, remained in the intensive care unit at the London Chest Hospital on Tuesday in a serious but stable condition. He has made an incredible recovery since he suffered a cardiac arrest and was able to sit out of bed, watch television and begin to eat at the weekend.

Claudio Ranieri sacked after poor run

The former Chelsea boss took charge at the San Siro in September, replacing Gian Piero Gasperini, who was dismissed after only five games in charge.

Despite Inter's poor run, president Massimo Moratti said earlier on Monday: "I think that Claudio Ranieri will remain until the end of the season."

Following Sunday's defeat by Juventus, Inter sit eighth in Serie A, 22 points behind their local rivals, who top the table.

They were also knocked out of the Champions League in the last 16 by Marseille earlier this month.

A statement on the club's website said: "President Massimo Moratti and everyone at Inter Milan would like to thank Claudio Ranieri and his staff for their professionalism, dedication and honesty during their time in charge of the team."

Wenger writes off Milan's chances

Wenger has spotted out that AC Milan has "no chance" of winning the Champions League as they prepare to take on Barcelona.

The Serie A holders host Barca in the first leg of their tie on Wednesday but Wenger feels they stand little chance of going all the way and claiming glory at the Allianz Arena in May.

"Barcelona is the super favourites for the trophy," Wenger told the Corriere dello Sport on Tuesday. "Milan has no chance of winning the Champions League as they are not at the level required.

Liverpool Prepare a Bid for Unhappy Bojan

Liverpool are reportedly tracking Roma striker Bojan Krkic who is said to be unhappy due to failure of securing the first team role.

Since this season, Liverpool's striker Suarez and Andy Carroll are struggling at finishing.

This leaves Comolli looking to sneak in and capture the striker as he looks to bring in suitable attacking options that can help beef up a front-line that has struggled for goals this season.

Liverpool were strongly linked with Bojan during Rafa Benitez’s tenure at the club and the talented young forward has a great deal of top level experience and a desire to get his career back on track and a move to the Premier League may well tempt the forward as he looks to get himself back into the Vicente del Bosque’s national team set-up.

Ronaldo coming to Stanford Bridge?

Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates after putting Real Madrid into a 2-0 lead against Real Sociedad
Chelsea is preparing to launch an ambitious bid of 100 million pounds for Cristiano Ronaldo, the star of Real Madrid. This makes sens considered the performance of London club's offense this season, with Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres have been under par. Roman Abramovich is thought to be undertaking a major squad overhaul this summer, with hints of duo coming from Madrid's club being Mourinho and Ronaldo.

If this is true, Chelsea will be surely coming back stronger than ever next season. However this will depend largely on whether Chelsea is able to secure a spot in Champions League next season, as it will surely affect the club's attractiveness.

United Plan £55m Duo Talents

As Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson looks to bring new faces, he has received the requisite funds to mount significant bids for pair of young talents Eden Hazard and Javi Martinez. He will continue his youthful transfer policy as he looks to strengthen midfield areas which needed improvement, especially on the European stage and the pair are valued at a around £55m.
Ferguson has personally scouted Lille playmaker Eden Hazard and has been very impressed with the young Belgian’s performances.

Ferguson sees the Spanish international, Javi Martinez as a perfect long term replacement for Paul Scholes in the centre of the park. The 23 year old has amassed over 200 appearances for his San Mames side and is heavily linked with a move this summer.

The £20m rated rangy midfielder has the physique that lends itself well to the Premier League and would surely be tempted by a move to Man United.
However, Sir Alex Ferguson is struggled in Europe this term with the manner of having seen the sums spent by Man City, he is looking to bring in top level additions to his squad this summer.

Man United Welcome Another Brazilian

Manchester United have signed Brazilian youngster Lucas Evangelista in a deal which is considered completed early next year according to Brazil football website Pitaco do gringo’s. The player may come to Manchester and train with United’s youth teams before the transfer is finished in order to familiarise himself with his new club and surroundings.

The transfer can only be finalised when the player turns 18 which is less than Febraury. He’s very well regarded in Brazil and competed in the Sao Paulo Cup – at the age of 16.

Arsene Wenger denied Lukas Podolski

The Cologne striker is widely expected to make the move to the North London club this summer, with claims on Friday that he had already undergone a medical with the Gunners.

Wenger was quick to play down the current conjecture and claimed to be in the dark over any confirmation of the much-anticipated switch, with a fee of £10.9million having been mooted.

The 26-year-old, who has won an impressive 95 caps for his country and played in two World Cups, has been similarly coy over his next move, with Wenger admitting that any transfer is dependent on the will of the former Bayern Munich striker.

Neymar to spearhead a new brand Barcelona - but it may be without Guardiola

The Brazilian forward has rejected Real Madrid and looks set for a move to Camp Nou in 2013 - but his signing has much to do with a marketing strategy for both Barca and Nike

Neymar is part of a grand plan for Barcelona. The Brazilian forward is edging closer to a move to the Catalan club after rejecting Real Madrid, Goal.com revealed on Tuesday. And his arrival at Camp Nou has everything to do with winning the battle with the club's eternal enemies - but as much off the pitch as on it.

Barcelona were alerted to the possibility of a move for Neymar after talks with Madrid broke down last year, with president Sandro Rosell flying to Brazil on a charm offensive with the player and his father. And whereas Madrid chief Florentino Perez had told the youngster he must respect Real and that he would by no means be guaranteed a place in the first team at the Santiago Bernabeu, Rosell adopted an altogether alternative approach, telling Neymar he would be 'at home' at Camp Nou.

Tevez Brings City to Victory

The big match between City vs Chelsea have finished with the score of 2-1. Tevez is the man brought back victory for City.

City’s title hope is about to suffer because of the score from Gary Cahill, but Tevez began the move that ended with Sergio Aguero equalizing from the penalty spot.

Then five minutes from time, he created the opening which allowed Samir Nasri to grab a precious three points.

It was a new record which City’s 20th Premier League home wins on the trot.

It is an ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event on the men's tour and a Premier Mandatory event on the women's tour and is played on hard courts at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park. The tournament is currently held in March each year.

History

The tournament was founded by former player Butch Buchholz. His original aim was to make the event the first major tournament of the year (the Australian Open was held in December at that time), and he dubbed it the "Winter Wimbledon". Buchholz approached the ATP and the WTA and offered to provide the prize-money and give them a percentage of the ticket sales and worldwide television rights in return for the right to run the tournament for 15 years. The two associations agreed.

The first tournament was held in February 1985 at Laver's International Tennis Resort at Delray Beach, Florida. Buchholz brought in Alan Mills, the tournament referee at Wimbledon, as the head referee; and Ted Tinling, a well-known tennis fashion designer since the 1920s, as the director of protocol. The prize money of US$1.8 million was surpassed only by Wimbledon and the US Open at the time. (The event's prize money has since grown to over US$9 million.)

In 1986, the tournament relocated to Boca Raton. After its successful second year there then-Dade County Manager and Women's Tennis Association (WTA) President Merrett Stierheim helped pave the way for a move to its permanent home in Key Biscayne in 1987. In keeping with the ambitions of its founder, the tournament is one of the premiere events in tennis.

No Premier League plans for Messi

Three-time World Player of the Year Lionel Messi says he has no plans to play in the Premier League as he wants to spend the rest of his career at Barcelona.

Messi has won the Spanish Primera Liga five times and the Champions Leagues on three occasions since moving to the Catalan club from Argentina in 2000.

The 24-year-old forward believes Barca are one of the greatest club sides of all time and although he likes to watch English football, will not be heading to the Premier League any time soon.

"It's a league I like," he said. "I have friends that are playing there and I follow it as and when I can. Players I like are Kun Aguero and [Wayne] Rooney. These are two players that I like," Messi told Sky Sports.

"The truth is my idea has been to always stay in Barcelona and see out the rest of my career here. Like I always say, one doesn't know what can happen in the future but if it were up to me to decide, I would stay at Barcelona."

Harry Redknapp has confirmed Tottenham are ready to smash their transfer-fee record to land £35million-rated Lille wonderkid Eden Hazard.

The north Londoners will have to double the £16.9m they paid Blackburn for David Bentley four years ago to get their hands on the Belgian playmaker.

But boss Redknapp said: “If you want to be a top-four team you have to do things like this.

“If you want to compete with Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and the two Manchester clubs, you have to buy top players.”

Chelsea and City Told Napoli Duo will cost over 100 million

Chelsea and Manchester city have been firmly told by Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis that it will take a bid in excess of £100 million to take the prized duo of Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi from the Stadio San Paolo this summer.

The pair are held in high regard around Europe and will face a fight to keep hold of them, with both Chelsea and Manchester City keen to add them to their star studded ranks (According to reports on Talksport).

And now president De Laurentiis says it will take 'crazy' money to sign the pair. Ahead of Napoli's Champions League last 16 second leg clash with Chelsea, he said: "We are not using our players for the transfer market.

"Cavani? When he was at Palermo he was good but he was not scoring all these goals. Right now everyone wants Cavani and Lavezzi. If some crazy guy wants to put down £100m then maybe."

Podolski hints at Arsenal U-turn

Doubts have emerged over the expected transfer of Lukas Podolski to Arsenal, with the player revealing he would be tempted by a move to Lazio.

Podolski was strongly linked to a £10.9 million switch to Arsenal, with several British national newspapers even claiming the Germany forward had undergone a medical. It was expected that the only issue left to resolve was a proposed four-year £100,000-per-week deal.

However, the move is still in doubt now since Lazio involved. Klose became a major factor in a potential deal of Podolski.

Klose joined Lazio in the summer and has scored 12 times this season in Serie A, and when Podolski was quizzed over the prospect of joining up with his countrymen, he confessed he would be tempted.

"It would be great to play alongside him again, Miro has spoken well of Lazio and he's happy in Rome. My future has yet to be decided," Podolski told Corriere dello Sport.

Both Manchester Clubs Head Out

Both Manchester clubs headed out of the Europa League on Thursday night in a thrilling night of action.Manchester City were knocked out on away goals by Sporting, despite a spirited comeback that saw them win 3-2 on the night as they came close to scoring the four goals in 30 minutes they needed to progress.

Having lost the first leg in Portugal 1-0, Sporting appeared to be home and dry when they scored twice through a sublime Matias Fernandez free-kick and then Ricky van Wolfswinkel to grab a 3-0 aggregate lead before half-time.

However, City fought back manfully in the second half thanks to two goals from Sergio Aguero either side of Mario Balotelli penalty. In the dying seconds of injury time, goalkeeper Joe Hart was denied by opposite number Rui Patricio and City's comeback ended in failure.

Manchester United were taught a rare footballing lesson by a rampant Athletic Club in Bilbao on Thursday, as they were dumped out of the Europa League in impressive fashion.

Inter had €25m bid for Lucas rejected

Inter Milan made a €25 million bid for Sao Paulo's Brazilian starlet Lucas Moura in the transfer window, according to the player's agent.

Wagner Ribeiro claims that Inter director Marco Branca met with Sao Paulo officials in January to make the offer, which was rejected by the Brazilian club.

"Branca made a €25 million offer in January. However, president Juvencio Juvenal decided not to sell him," Ribeiro told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
